This position acts as a hands-on and organized food / beverage / retail floor manager to supervise all café, floor, and backroom activity including assisting customers, monitoring staff, and managing inventory.
The store manager is responsible for ensuring that all floor requirements are met. The position also works closely with the College bookstore and acts as a liaison with students, faculty, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Significant experience managing or operating a business, retail store or café / restaurant.
- Experience complying with state and local business and / or health department laws.
- Experience supervising employees.
- Experience using personal computers and / or point-of-sale software.
- Current Certified Food Protection Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of being hired. The cost of certification will be covered by the college.
Knowledge :
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of managing a business or store operation.
- General knowledge of accounting and inventory / category management tasks
- Working knowledge of Inventory Control
- Comprehensive knowledge of replenishment and ordering.
- Familiar with merchandising placement.
