Foreman In Phoenix, AZ
The role involves constructing shaded structures for commercial buildings. You will be responsible for various tasks ranging from setting columns and pouring concrete to installing custom features and overseeing a team of laborers.
Responsibilities :
- Construct shaded structures for commercial buildings.
- Excavate and prepare site materials.
- Set columns and pour concrete for footings that are 36" round and 10 feet deep.
- Place steel structures and custom installations over a 2-3 week period.
- Install ladders and ensure structures are level.
- Perform occasional electrical work if the shades include lighting.
- Lead and manage a small team of laborers.
- Read and interpret construction drawings.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
Essential Skills :
Proficiency in concrete, carpentry, and structural steel installation.Ability to perform layout tasks, set columns, pour, and lift materials.Experience in using ladders and handling steel.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
For Foreman role : 5+ years of comprehensive experience in carpentry, concrete, and steel, along with leadership experience.Valid driver's license.Capability to manage laborers and track invoices / receipts for expensing.Proficient in using smartphones, basic computer skills, sending emails, and completing expense reports.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Work Environment :
Work alongside a team of three, starting the day by meeting at the garage and departing for job sites at 5 : 30 AM.Workdays are 10-12 hours long, from Monday to Thursday, with rotating Fridays dedicated to overtime.The team is informed of their destination the day before and may occasionally travel outside Phoenix in a company vehicle.The work environment is structured, and team members report to the shop before their shifts begin.Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 / hr.
