Hirewell has partnered with a local General Contractor of Residential projects throughout Nashville to grow their sales and project development team.
This Project Developer / Sales Manager role will develop and maintain strategic partnerships with potential referral sources and allies in the local market, communicate with the Project Management team, and guide clients through the entire planning, design, and pre-construction phases of their project.
Qualified candidates have 5+ years of construction industry experience, a passion for client service, and a hunger to exceed goals.
Residential projects and team management experience preferred!
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with potential referral sources and allies in all markets in which you work
- Identify and communicate with prospects to secure meetings to assess their needs and determine if we are a fit for their situation
- Obtain written commitments from clients to ensure company is compensated for project efforts no work is done without executed agreements unless approved by COO or CEO / President
- Guide clients through the entire planning, design, and pre-construction phases of their project and constantly update clients of progress and next steps
- Use sales tools (Basecamp, BuilderTrend) to keep project team members, clients, and management up-to-date on project happenings and projections
- Maintain constant communication with project design team and communicate timelines and feedback when appropriate
- Perform or ensure various project-management-related tasks are performed that are necessary for projects to become a reality, including securing property, negotiate leases, arranging soil testing, coordinating civil engineering, MEP design, architecture, obtaining city approvals, and exploring financing and tax incentives
- Oversee preparation of and / or (in some cases) prepare project pricing, proposals, and contracts and then meet with client to review and approve these items
- Reports to COO and CEO / President
Expected Outcomes :
- Responsible for quarterly and annual revenue goals (to be shared with Controller, COO, and CEO / President)
- Responsible for running with leads generated by the company and CEO / President and taking steps to convert leads to customer / contract (at some point, this role may be responsible for some lead generation of their own, but not to start)
- Responsible for obtaining a minimum of four (4) signed Agreements each quarter and / or 16 annually
- This role will hopefully grow into four (4) signed Construction Agreements each quarter, as well as some other Design-Build or smaller agreements.
To start, four (4) Agreements of any size will satisfy this quota.
Protect CEO / President’s time by answering all project-related questions and resolving minor customer conflict on projects
Ideal Candidate :
- At least five (5) years in the construction field in some capacity, residential construction preferred
- At least three (3) years in a position of management over individuals and / or team preferred
Compensation Structure :
- Base Salary : $71,000 - $85,000 DOE
- Bonus : 20% GP for leads generated through the Project Developer, 15% GP for leads generated through the business / outside of Project Developer
