About the Position :

First Internet Bank provides exciting internship opportunities for individuals pursuing their degree. The purpose of the First Internet Bank Internship Program is to provide a hands-on experience in a business setting and to present interns with real world insight into the financial / commercial lending.

As a Finance Intern in Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Lending at First Internet Bank, you will have the opportunity to work closely with all members of the C&I team in order to complete a variety of tasks.

What You Will Do :

• Work with Portfolio Managers to get an introduction to C&I underwriting
• Work with Relationship Managers to get an introduction on C&I loan structuring and risk identification
• Maintain periodic loan reporting requirements and complete various portfolio management activities
• Perform research and analysis on the various industries that C&I work with to determine market risks
• Assist in loan closings, support file organization and periodic administrative tasks, as needed
• Participate in internal and external meetings with colleagues and customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For :

• Current Sophomore or Junior with demonstrated interest in Commercial Banking
• Ongoing pursuit of a college degree preferably in business, finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organization & data management skills
• Superb communication skills

Working Conditions / Demands :

• Professional office setting.
• Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
• Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
