As a Diesel Technician, you are a valued member of our team, performing :
- Accurately and efficiently performs work as outlined on repair order in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repairs.
- Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Saves and tags parts, if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examines assigned vehicle(s) to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with service advisor / dispatcher immediately on repair, updates, and / or delays.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Ensures vehicle is kept clean. Notifies service advisor / dispatcher immediately of anything has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
- Operates all tools / equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Candidates have the following :
- Two to four years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination.
- Prior diesel engine experience
- ASE Certification a plus
- Computer skills
- Technical training required
