Job Title : Registered Nurse - Surgical ICU Job Specialty : FS Job Duration : 17 weeks Shift : 12 Hours, 3 shifts per week Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 1 year required License : Current RN License or multistate compact RN License Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) - ACLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have : - Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program - Good verbal and written communication skills - Ability to maintain good working relationships - Some computer skills Job Description : - Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems from simple to complex - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments - Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients;
intervene when necessary - Administer medications as prescribed - Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products - Deliver competent patient care - Interact with family and patients in sharing care plans during the hospital stay and at discharge - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel - Delegate tasks to support staff - Perform other duties as assigned
