CPA Required; Fund Accounting, Property Accounting, Project Accounting
Our client is a Privately owned real estate investment firm with a significant presence Transnationally and in the U.S., Well Established, offices across Europe and Miami, FL.
Position Overview
The Accounting Manager CPA will provide oversight and direction regarding the primary accounting, bill payment / processing, financial support, and, as needed, administrative / support.
The CPA is expected to work closely with the Accounting Department at their European Headquarters.
Responsibilities :
- Manage the day-to-day cash transactions
- This includes but is not limited to daily oversight of bank accounts, maintaining relationships with our banks as well as understanding the online banking platforms, entering transactions into the system on a timely basis, managing the intercompany bill-backs and accounts payable process, setting up and inputting wire / ACH transactions, liquidity planning, and completing monthly bank reconciliations.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage the allocation and documentation process for capital transactions.
- Create and maintain general ledgers.
- Compile the monthly, quarterly, and annual financials. Prepare the monthly reporting work papers and reconcile accounts, referencing and tying out the consolidated financials.
- Coordinate the activities of the external accounting providers to include yearly audits and financial reporting reviews, corrections, and approvals.
- Prepare all invoices for entry into the accounting system, monitor the entry of information and data, and verify invoice accuracy, coding, and data entry.
- Develop and maintain records of financial transactions for the company.
- Administer external expense and travel software which includes monthly reconciliation.
- Review and process payment of all expense reports in accordance with established procedures and policies.
- Analyze and prepare reports on statistics regarding expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business.
Ensure the maintenance, updating, and effective summarization of applicable ledgers and computer files / reports.

Requirements
- A four-year college degree in accounting is required.
- CPA designation is required
- At least 4+ years of Commercial Accounting, Project Accounting, or Finance experience ( Construction Accounting)
- Experienced in Real Estate Development Accounting , such as Real Estate Development, Construction Projects, or Property Management
- Reporting Standard (IFRS) including intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accrual, SOX compliance, and full GAAP)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite or other international accounting systems preferred.
- Must have the ability to work independently, exercise judgment and discretion, supervise and direct others, and function as an inside advisor or consultant on finance and accounting matters.
- Full working knowledge and applicability of general accounting and financing principles are necessary.
- Full working knowledge of account payables, receivables, budgets, and expenditure control is also required.
- Experience in Fund Accounting, Property Accounting, Project Accounting, or related
Compensation
Salary $150K, annual bonus, PTO, and benefits package
