Job Description
Job Title : Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor Department : Maintenance
Reports To : Regional Maintenance Manager
JOB SUMMARY :
Reporting to the General Manager and dotted lined Regional Maintenance Manager, the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor will assist in ensuring effective shop operations without interruptions and highest level of efficiency.
Will manage the preventative maintenance programs, with proper critical spare inventory, while maintaining effective records, and leading, motivating and training an effective staff.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS :
Assist in driving unplanned machine down-time to company standards
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.
Support efforts to drive continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing techniques and 6S theories.
Assist in meeting budget targets and limits and capital purchases are adhered to
Supervisor the maintenance staff and drive cross-training for each
Problem-solve and trouble shoot maintenance and facilities issues
Ability to lead and communicate effectively
Ability to use MRP systems
Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Assists with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects.
Ensures daily goals and metrics are met and sustained daily / weekly / quarterly / annually
Assists in maintaining effective maintenance records, including OSHA and otherwise.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT :

REQUIREMENTS :
High School Degree plus five to ten years related experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically machining, hydraulic and mechanical environments.
Must possess analytical problem-solving techniques .
Exposure or ability to learn lean manufacturing techniques
Must be self-motivated and self-managed and possess strong organizational skill.
