Job Summary :
The Registered Echo Technologist will perform the duties of a staff technologist and provide assistance to the supervisor / manager.
EHMC employees throughout the Medical Center will use behaviors and interpersonal communication styles that are appropriate for a hospital environment and demonstrate courtesy, dignity and respect.
AIDET will be used for all patient interactions to enhance the Patient Experience. The scope of practice of the Diagnostic Ultrasound Professional includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, and in which he / she has demonstrated competency.

Job Essentials :
- Perform patient assessments
- Acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound and related diagnostic technologies
- Provide a summary of findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management
- Use independent judgment and systematic problem solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care.
Education Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate's Degree preferred
License / Certification / Registry :
- Echo Technologist Registration
- The Registered Echo Technologist is required to have passed the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) exam
- The Echo Technologist is required to have attended an accredited ultrasound program
