Java Developer - Sports Gaming / Media
Up to $130,000 + equity
Fully Remote (within Canada)
I'm working with a leading Sports gaming and media company on the lookout for a Java Developer. Their products are set apart through a unique product experience with a simplified user interface that is catered to the casual sports fan.
Their Media brand is one of the most rapidly growing sports betting media brands in the US - gaining several million followers since their launch under two years ago.
You will be a core part of building, developing and expanding their current betting platform.
They are also backed by a host of some of the most established VCs around.
You will :
- Build amazing consumer experiences, taking responsibility for code quality, scalability, reliability and performance
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Have strong communication skills, the ability to articulate complex and technical concepts across teams, & understand the value of over-communication
- Have worked in a scrum environment, understand, and want to contribute to our continuous efforts to improve our development infrastructure and processes
Your skills :
- Circa 5+ years of experience writing code on the PHP
- Knowledge of more than 1 programming language (Kotlin or Java would be nice)
- Understand the value of writing unit tests
- Knowledge of database design and SQL
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
