Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Tax Manager for our shared services payroll team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both US and Canadian tax filing, experience with Ceridian / Dayforce Tax Service (CTS) and a working knowledge of the Canadian tax function.
In this newly created position, the Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for coordinating post payroll processing tax activities for 30 U.
S. companies and 8 Canadian companies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Core Responsibilities :
- Manage payroll tax filings for multi-state U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions.
- Monitor case aging with Ceridian Tax Service / DayForce.
- Support new tax registrations.
- Coordinate account closures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any audits or inquiries from government agencies related to payroll taxes.
- Manage annual W2 / T4 / RL-1 reconciliation and reporting.
- Co-lead quarter and year-end tax process with Sr Payroll Manager, reconciling quarterly tax returns and year end reporting.
- Provide Quarterly reconciliation to Finance teams.
- Manage communication and coordination of UC prepaid tax for experience rate reductions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum 7 years’ experience focused on payroll tax filing responsibilities within multi-state U.S. / Canadian frameworks.
Skills :
- Comprehensive knowledge in U.S. federal, state, local, and Canadian provincial / territorial payroll taxation.
- Familiarity with UKG Pro (UltiPro) and / or ADP Workforce Now is preferred.
- Unemployment experience-rate management
Personal Attributes :
- A proactive approach towards identifying issues before they arise along with solutions-oriented problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity in dealing with sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently while also being collaborative team player.
Additional Information
LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance and tenure.
While the published salary range is a good faith reflection of the targeted salary level for the position, LVMH Inc. reserves the right to pay outside of the published salary range of $105k-$115k.
