POSITION SUMMARY :
This position provides direct and indirect Occupational Therapy (OT) services to adult and adolescent Behavioral Health (BH) inpatients.
The responsibilities include evaluating patient's level of functioning, developing treatment plans, implementing patient-specific treatment, completing required documentation, providing supervision for inpatient staff, and actively participating in team meetings.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION :
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an Accredited College or University
- State OTR license required
- Training in PMT and de-escalation techniques
EXPERIENCE :
Experience working with the chronic BH / psychiatric population preferred
COMPETENCIES :
- Strong clinical skills and a demonstrated strong team orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Computer competency with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Flexibility in approach and excellence in time management

12. Uses psychological and physical management techniques to manage potentially violent situations
