This is an hourly paid position with 40 hours per week, including full benefits. Eligible for OT.

We have a Full Time opening for an Exercise Physiologist. Select Physical Therapy is offering a position at the area’s largest theme park in Anaheim, CA for dynamic injury prevention programs with a large employer working with multiple occupations.

This is a corporate wellness and industrial opportunity. Program is constantly growing and the scope of our client is also growing.

Starting at $28.00 / hour - $32.00 / hour based on experience

Responsibilities : Responsibilities :

Responsibilities :

Instruct and educate patients / clients in the proper principles of exercise utilizing a variety of media and equipment.

Address and assess preventative measures against injury in various environments and work industries

Assist in providing quality patient care under the direction of licensed therapists on staff, on site and within the market.

Lead group conditioning sessions, guiding participants through various exercises and routines.

Develop and implement engaging and effective exercise programs suitable for individuals of all fitness levels.

Injury Trend Analysis

Work Risk and Task Analysis

Worksite Education programs

Onsite Intervention

Support, coach and train new employees

Conduct in-services to keep staff current in Work Strategies issues

Participate in CEU programs

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology / Exercise Science

One year experience in direct patient care

CPR / First Aid / AED Certification

Preferred Qualifications :

Certification in NSCA, ACSM and / or CSCS

Bilingual or any additional languages besides English

Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day / shift;

must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.

Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day / shift.

Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.

Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.

Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.

Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.

Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
