Job Responsibilities :
The Manager, Training and Assessment is primarily responsible for developing, managing, and delivering all aspects of volunteer and program training.
The Manager will develop and maintain all training resources, all training programs and manuals of various types, and all training tools, including electronic training tools and Learning Management Systems, used by the Commission.
Additionally, the Manager will develop staff training resources, guidelines, and operational training manuals. The manager will assess training needs, and volunteer performance, to modify and / or develop new and enhanced training programs to strengthen the Commission's volunteer performance.
The Manager is also responsible for volunteer recruitment and retention activities, and maintaining all required volunteer annual paperwork documentation, in accordance with the Commission's policies and United States Department of Education criteria.
The Manager will review all volunteer paperwork to ensure volunteers comply with requirements to serve and will manage the volunteer database to ensure accurate and complete records are maintained by the Commission.
The Manager will provide primary staff support to the Commission's Standing Committee on Site Visit Process and Training.
The Manager will also work with other CODA Managers to ensure accurate information is maintained in CODA's electronic records, on the Commission's website, and in all internal and external documents related to training records.
The Manager is required to be trained annually in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance policies and procedures.
Must Have :
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Learning / Education, Online Learning, Curriculum Development, or related field
- 5 years' experience in / with development of content and training programs for live, synchronous, and asynchronous training, and use of Learning Management Systems to deliver training;
or 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience writing, editing, and managing training programs, with emphasis on working with and developing training content for a diverse audience
- Experience conducting research and drafting reports
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of emerging digital learning technologies and best practices in developing educational and training programs
- Knowledge of learning management systems
- Ability to work under varied deadlines and develop accurate, complete, and professional training programs to a variety of audiences, to support CODA's training needs
- Ability to write educational and training plans and protocols for volunteers, educational programs, and staff
- Ability to work with diverse groups and to collaborate
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Proficiency in Databases, SharePoint, Websites, Learning Management Systems, and other web-based training platforms
- Ability for occasional evening work as needed to support CODA meetings
Nice to Have :
- Master's degree in Adult Education, Online Learning, or related field
- Knowledge of higher education, specialized accreditation, and the profession of dentistry
- Previous association experience, preferably in accreditation and / or volunteer training
