Premier Care Dental Management currently has a HR Generalist role available supporting our provider population with their HR lifecycle needs including onboarding new doctors and hygienists, benefits administration support, professional licensure tracking, interpreting and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and providing general HR support in conjunction with the HR team.

Location / Schedule :

Long Island Headquarters : 105 Maxess Rd., Melville, New York 11747

Monday - Friday, 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm, or as needed for special projects / deadlines

Primary Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate with Talent Acquisition Team to ensure timey onboarding of providers through onboarding platform and accuracy in data entered into ADP
  • Ensure all licensing is received for new providers and perform exclusion checks as required with state professional licensing boards, OIG, SAM and state exclusions
  • Coordinate with payroll department to ensure doctor's stipends are properly coded based on contract
  • Act as point of contact for all provider benefits questions including medical, vision, 401(k) and ancillary benefits
  • Coordinate with broker on group malpractice additional, removals and VL coverage as appropriate, and support group malpractice renewal process annually
  • Coordinate with VP of HR on onboarding of acquisition doctors including support as required
  • Manage provider our notices as required and support providers with LOA (FMLA, PFL, Disability, etc.)
  • Manage provider offboarding including internal notifications
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.

This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Provide back-up support for onboarding of non-provider staff as needed
  • Provide HR Generalist support for general staff as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department
  • May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail, Google Docs or related software.
  • Proficient with ADP, experience with Fountain onboarding a plus

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 3 years of human resource management experience
  • Experience within a healthcare environment preferred
  • SHRM-CP a plus.

NY Salary Range : $80,000-$95,000 annually
