Baptist Health is looking for a Financial Clearance Center Supervisor to join our team in Louisville, KY
The Financial Clearance Center Supervisor assists the Financial Clearance Center Manager with provision of leadership to Financial Clearance Center staff.
The Supervisor is responsible for supporting and training staff for the following duties : obtain and validate orders, insurance verification, obtaining prior authorizations from insurance companies, compliance, pre-service estimates, payment plans, scheduling, pre-registration and Medicaid referrals and charity pre-screening.
The supervisor assists the manager with tactical and operational decisions to sustain a high level of customer service, staff satisfaction and to generate optimal financial results.
The goals of the center are to provide excellent customer service, improve financial clearance and reduce operating expenses associated with payment denials / delays.
The supervisor is responsible for assistance with further development of the Patient Financial Experience. Effective Financial Clearance ensures a seamless patient financial experience.
Requirements
Minimum three years experience in Access Services related (registration, patient accounting, financial clearance) supervisory / management position required.
College graduate with degree in business functions or health care or equivalent experience.
- Requires knowledge of medical terminology, preadmission, authorization, verification, insurance, reimbursement contracts and departmental policies and procedures.
- Requires knowledge of the legal aspect of Access Services, including state and federal regulations regarding patient access, along with other hospital responsibilities.
