Job Description and Responsibilities Join our Denver team as a Production Worker at the North American leading metal recycling company! As a Production Worker, you will play a vital role in our operations, contributing to the efficient processing of metal materials.

Your responsibilities will include assisting shredder operators, sorting and organizing metal components, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.

• Picks copper and fluff off moving conveyor, cleans around mill, and assists shredder operators in changing out conveyors, bearing shafts, and greasing.
• Keeps work area is clean and ready to go daily
• Keeps conveyor bearings are clean and have grease
• Picks only copper and Auto Shredder Residue (ASR) to ensure that quality material is shipped to our customers
• Reports any issues that arise immediately
• Assists shredder operators during projects
• Assists in meeting monthly production goals
• Performs other duties as they might be assigned + Examples : snow removal, salt spreading, leaf blowing, driving yard dog to remove containers, traffic control of vehicles in yard, and load inspection. Requirements
• Able to meet the physical demands of the position including standing, walking, sitting, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, moderate to heavy lifting and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds throughout the day
• Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions including hot, dry summer conditions and cold, harsh winter conditions
• Willing and able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in dust, odours, fumes, and noise
• Ability to learn and follow direction
• Mechanically inclined
• Self-motivated : Initiates and takes action before being required to do so
• Strong work ethic : uses time efficiently, work safely and making sure everyone around him are working safely
• Strong command of the English language both written and spoken. Compensation : $22 - 25 / hr depending upon experience Our total compensation package includes amazing benefits!
