REQUIREMENTS
A bachelor's degree in education, early childhood psychology with a
concentration in childhood development OR 4 years of related experience
working with children
- Strong knowledge of child behavior and development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in program planning and implementation
- Passion for supporting children's mental health and well-being
- Form and maintain trusted relationships with children and their families
- Prior experience with at-risk populations

DUTIES
Recruitment and Registration :
- Recruit and register children for the program.
- Gather all necessary data and consent forms from parents of participating
children.
Collaborate with school counselors at local schools to target registration
for children most at-risk of mental health challenges
Relationship Building :
- Form trusted relationships with twelve to fifteen children and their families.
- Connect with children individually to monitor their progress in four
wellness categories.
Program Management :
Manage and run programming safely and effectively to ensure trusted
relationships are forming, creative genius is being cultivated, and
children's mental wellness is addressed.
Ensure the safety of all children and volunteers by implementing and
abiding by all policies and guidelines.
Oversee one to five volunteers during programming, ensuring safe and
healthy interactions with children at all times.
Activity Planning and Implementation :
Plan, prepare, and implement activities that align with the interests of
participating children.
Maintain supply inventory for activities and communicate any supply
needs.
Communication and Meetings :
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Meet weekly with the Head of Programs to communicate updates,
concerns, and needs of program locations.
Consistently communicate necessary updates with caretakers of
registered children.
Attend all events, including large fundraisers, special
trainings, and volunteer recognition celebrations.
Event Attendance :
Attend all events including but not limited to large
fundraisers, special trainings, volunteer recognition celebrations
Part-time : 22-25 hours / week - Mon-Thu 12-5pm - hybrid : 50% office / remote. 48 work weeks per year including 4 no program weeks dedicated to activity planning,
documentation and small group outings

This nonprofit is looking for a dynamic and devoted Program Coordinator in accordance with their mission. They will be responsible for the oversight and management of an afternoon program.
As members of the team, Program Coordinators will develop meaningful connections with kids and families, ensure the safety and wellbeing of both kids and volunteers, organize and prepare activities that align with the interests of participating kids, and lower stress levels.
