Description
Plans, organizes, and directs the therapy departmental operations in accordance with established policies of Augusta Health and in compliance with the DNV, state and federal regulatory requirements.
Develops, organizes, and leads the Therapy Services of Augusta Health. Manages the human, material, and financial resources allocated in a responsible manner, while assuring the delivery of diverse, quality therapy programs for the community and Augusta Health employees.
The director is directly accountable to the Administrative PAC and Rehab Services.
Education
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy.
Licensure / Certification
- Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- BLS Certification

- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with colleagues, supervisors and customers face to face.
- Ability to serve on interdisciplinary committees across the system.
