JOB SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the collaboration of a licensed physician.
The PA or NP works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
In this role, you will work with same day access / Urgent Care department for cross covering. The schedule will be approximately 7AM-7PM M-F and S-S 8 : 00-2 : 30 PM.
Experience in Urgent Care as an NP or PA is required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required : Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Preferred / Optional : None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required : one year in specialty as an NP or PA.
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
Minimum Required : Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants. Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department / location).
Preferred / Optional : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
