We are seeking an experienced business development leader to recruit and engage Fitness, Sports, and Outdoors brands and develop new partnership strategies for Amazon.

Amazon Fitness is building the future of online retail innovation. The Principal Business Development will advocate internally and externally on behalf of Amazon.

With proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, great attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task and a proven record of driving category growth.

This leader must be an effective driver and communicator in working with some of Amazon.com most important future vendors as well as with internal colleagues and cross-functional leaders.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for retail and a high level of flexibility and commitment.

As a customer-obsessed fitness enthusiast, you will influence and build relationships with top brands to drive revenue and increase selection.

You are deep on retail trends and understand how retail fits into the online ecosystem. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple teams.

Using your deep knowledge of retail and fitness and a solution-oriented mindset you will develop opportunities for Amazon within the Fitness vertical.

You are an excellent oral and written communicator and you possess an analytical approach to business development, leveraging data to drive decisions.

You are highly organized and have the ability to work closely and constructively cross-functional teams. You're particularly adept at developing strong, one-to-one relationships and possess a track record of successful negotiation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 9+ years of professional or military experience
  • Experience in deal negotiation, business modeling and forecasting, deep understanding of the consumer retail landscape, particularly Fashion, Fitness, Sports & Outdoors

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience leading strategic negotiations with multi-national conglomerates across the Consumer industry; Experience developing industry deep dives and multi-year strategic plans with Executive level stakeholders
