Job Summary :
Seeking a Safety Specialist to ensure compliance with safety regulations, implement safety programs, and analyze and mitigate health or safety hazards for operations.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety or related discipline preferred
- 2-5 years experience in manufacturing, engineering, or safety environment preferred
- Understanding of federal and state regulations (OSHA, MA Department of Safety, NFPA)
- Advanced written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to train and interact with personnel at all levels
- Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems independently
- Proficient in Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills :
- Ability to coordinate and participate on the First Aid team
- Sensitivity to safety, employee concerns, and business needs
- Experience working in a combination of office and manufacturing environments
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and raise awareness among employees
- Implement and monitor safety programs to meet OSHA and other requirements
- Develop and refine safety programs (e.g., hazard communication, PPE, lockout / tagout, electrical safety)
- Coordinate and implement safety and accident prevention programs; investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations; advise management and follow up on corrective actions
- Create, administer, and track health and safety training programs
- Analyze and mitigate health or safety hazards for operations
- Stay updated with regulatory changes and update SOPs as needed
- Assist with emergency response plans, training, and events
Pay Details : $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
