Job Description
The Principal Health Data Analyst serves as the subject matter expert for internal and external clients by providing complex consultation and analytic insight and is the primary contact for specialty pharmacy information.
This position leads complex analyses to create new business insights and strategies for use across the pharmacy and care solutions department and will drive the strategic vision and utilization of reporting and analytics through the Prime Analytics Ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise on Prime corporate projects, Road Map efforts and application development.
- Develop analytic recommendations that directly impact Prime's strategic imperatives, profit drivers and the organization’s financial value statement.
- Lead the development of analytic methodologies, models, reports and new products to drive and influence business decisions and outcomes.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Prime practices and analytic tools; develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
- Provide guidance to other departments as an analytics subject matter expert in the development and maintenance of data that is critical to business analytics and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and / or relevant work experience;
HS diploma or GED is required.
- 8 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management, reporting & analytics, benefits consulting, healthcare, financial services or related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
- Expert PBM industry knowledge and deep understanding of the financial levers of Prime; able to articulate the industry trends to clients and the impact of trends and changes to client financials.
- Ability to establish rapport and effectively influence at all levels within an organization.
- Expert ability to communicate effectively and present complex data to a wide variety of audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced SAS, SASEG, SPSS, and / or SQL programming experience with large data sets.
- Progressive leadership experience.
- Extensive experience working with an enterprise level data warehouse.
- Extensive experience in business analysis, operational modeling and / or reporting.
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Occasionally required to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Reporting Structure
Reports to Sr Director in the Pharmacy and Care Solutions department.
Compensation
Potential pay for this position ranges from $94,700.00 - $151,300.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
