High School GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK : TYPICAL TASKS : Responsible for assisting with all assigned inventory accountabilities to include purchasing, receiving, storage and distribution.
Responsible for ensuring inventory projects are staged in a timely manner to support company operations as directed. Ensure proper stock levels by reviewing upcoming projects using project tracker, spreadsheets, and commitment sheets.
Responsible for overseeing physical inventories and cycle counts, receipt audits and reconciliations. Responsible for generating open order reports weekly to distributors to ensure that material gets delivered on time and statuses are updated.
Responsible for receiving, processing and scanning of purchase orders. Responsible for scanning of issue and return tickets.
Resolves inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. Coordinates and integrates efforts across operational divisions to ensure proper inventory levels and accuracy.
Responsible for coordinating warehouse personnel task to ensure daily work load is met in an efficient manner. Responsible for ensuring warehouse and safety procedures are followed by all personnel.
Conduct inventory research and inspections as necessary and assigned. Develops and maintains related inventory records and reports as required.
Performs all other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of inventory control management policies and practices.
Able to work in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Knowledge of cycle count procedures. Should possess good mathematical and analytical skill sets.
Knowledge of inventory software. Ability to create and award bid events into inventory software. Knowledge of purchasing software.
Ability to create requisitions. Ability to effectively manage time and meet project deadlines. Good organization skills.
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload. Must be able to respond in emergency situations.
Must be detail oriented. Ability to manage and lead employees. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, departments, customers, vendors and contractors.
Must be able to properly lift or displace up to one hundred (100) pounds. High School diploma. At least five years warehouse, inventory or supply chain management experience desired.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Valid Florida driver’s license. Forklift Certification or ability to obtain one within six (6) months from date of hire.
Required to obtain Hazardous Waste (RCRA) and Hazardous Material Transportation (DOT) Shipping certifications within twelve (12) months of employment.
