SmartTalent is hiring a ProductionMaintenance Mechanic for a local seafood production company based in Everett, WA. This is a temp to hire opportunity offering full time hours.
Ideal candidates will be available to work both day and night shift as needed.
Job Title : ProductionMaintenance Mechanic
Location : Everett WA
Pay : $26-26
Schedule : 4-10 hour shifts + Possible Overtime
Benefits offered :Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.
- Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
- Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Sharpens and reshapes tools as necessary.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Repairs electrical equipment.
- Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate variable shifts ranging from 4 - 18 hours depending on maintenance workload.
Additional Responsibilities :
- Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- May participate and train with HazMat team.
Experience :
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and bagging machines preferred. Basic mechanical knowledge in food industry preferred.
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
