The Technical Services Coordinator oversees and coordinates the biomedical and field service technicians assigned to a designated location, ensuring that medical equipment at the office and customer locations is timely and cost-effectively inspected, repaired and maintained.
The Technical Services Coordinator ensures that accurate and detailed equipment records are kept, assists in growing technical services revenue and supports key daily office functions.
The Technical Service Coordinator who works at a district office location also assists in managing the supply inventory and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of customer billing functions.
Knowledge and Physical Requirements
Associate’s degree in an Applied Science (electronics or biomedical equipment technology preferred) or equivalent military training required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of technical experience.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including an understanding of hospital operations, alternate care providers and medical equipment manufacturers.
- Medical equipment preventive maintenance, repair and handling experience. Able to read and understand technical manuals and electric / pneumatic schematics.
- Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification procedures, preventive maintenance and repair service on various equipment.
- Proficient in the use of test equipment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to lift and / or push 75 pounds.
