Social Worker / Clinician LMSW / LCSW or LPC / LPC-A

The Social Worker / Clinician provides direct clinical care to patients in the therapeutic process from admission to discharge, and provides individual, family, and group therapy, preparing discharge plans as indicated.

The Social Worker / Clinician will interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure patient-centered, evidence-based, high-quality care for patients.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Carries a clinical caseload, conducts family therapeutic meetings utilizing biological, psychological, and systemic perspectives in understanding patients and their families to develop treatment plans and interventions from those perspectives appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Works cohesively with other team members and is a contributor to the team; actively communicating with the Director of Social Work and other Social Workers, as needed.

Ensures care provided is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.

  • Holds self-accountable to helping the patient and family achieve desired results, understanding and identifying professional strengths, limitations, and challenges.
  • Actively participates in clinical rounds & social work staff meetings / trainings.
  • Facilitates discharge planning and implementation.
  • Conducts group therapy sessions with techniques appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
  • Provides intern and / or staff supervision, as requested by the Director of Social Work or Director of Clinical Operations.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required.
  • LMSW / LCSW / LPC or LPC-A required.
  • Experience working with addiction and / or a psychiatric patient population required.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills, and be able to flourish in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience :

Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or related field.

Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to move light objects weighing less than 20 pounds for short distances.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and walk around for different periods of time.
