Description

Under the supervision of the Manager, this position works independently and conducts polysomnographic testing. The PSGT safely operates sophisticated medical equipment used to record sleep / wake physiology, explains procedures, prepares patients and applies recording devices.

Key responsibilities include monitoring polygraph recordings and audio / visual equipment to ensure patient safety, test quality, sleep / wake data and other physiological events.

Required qualifications :

  • California Polysom Technologist License upon hire.
  • National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire or
  • National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 1 year of Experience as a polysomnographic technologist; 2 years preferred.

Preferred qualifications :

  • Associate's Degree in Polysomnography.
  • Membership in Association of Polysomnographic Technologist (APT) or American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) upon hire.
