First Class Workforce Solutions is looking for an experienced and passionate Prep Cook to help support a fast-paced team.
As a Prep Cook, you will provide a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients. If you are detail-oriented, have a passion for culinary excellence, and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment, this role is for you.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
- Ready ingredients before service for use by the line cooks in the preparation process.
- Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
- Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including storage areas.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team for timely and efficient food preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels, communicating shortages or replenishment needs.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations governing food preparation and storage.
- Always follow food service sanitation regulations.
- Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Foster a positive and team-oriented atmosphere in the kitchen.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or chef.
