In this part-time position, you will ensure that our produce is packed with care and efficiency, maintaining our high standards of quality and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities :

Packing Fresh Produce : Efficiently pack fruits, vegetables, and local food products into containers, ensuring they remain fresh and visually appealing.

Adhere to company guidelines to uphold product quality and packaging standards.

Quality Assurance : Inspect produce for freshness and quality, and report any issues to supervisors. Ensure all items meet our high standards before they leave the facility.

Timeliness : Work efficiently to meet daily packing targets and deadlines, contributing to a smooth and timely production process.

Team Collaboration : Collaborate with fellow team members to foster a positive and supportive work environment. Share knowledge and assist each other to achieve team goals.

Labeling and Documentation : Accurately apply labels and complete necessary paperwork related to packaging and inventory management.

Safety and Cleanliness : Follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment as required, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Passion for Local Food : Show enthusiasm for supporting local food producers and engage with our mission to provide quality local products to the community.

Qualifications :

Education : High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience : Previous experience in packing or food handling is advantageous but not required.

Skills :

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.

Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a positive attitude.

Basic math skills for measuring and counting.

Physical Requirements : Ability to lift and carry items up to 40 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Comfort with working in various environmental conditions (e.g., cool storage areas).

Schedule : Must be available to work early mornings (5 AM) on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Flexibility is required Monday through Thursday to accommodate varying weekly volumes.

Average hours are about 12-15 per week.

Compensation and Benefits :

Compensation : Starting at $13 / hour with opportunities for growth based on performance and tenure.

Weekly Stipend : $37 per week to spend on food in our online store.

401(k) : Available to all employees after 6 months of employment, with employer matching.
