SUMMARY :
The Director of Environmental Services provides leadership, supervision and direction for all Environmental Services and Laundry personnel.
This position is responsible for assigning, overseeing and inspecting the work quality and activities of assigned personnel while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations and organizational guidelines.
The Director of Environment Services serves as a role model for all employees by promoting and upholding the organization’s mission, vision, purpose and values.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education : High school diploma or equivalent
Experience : Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the environmental services field, either in a hospital or institutional setting.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Other : Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based software, operating budgets and contract negotiation skills.
Strong customer / patient service orientation with a high sense of urgency. Ability to work in a fast paced, service oriented environment.
Effective judgment and decision making ability. Effective collaborative skills; performing comfortably in group settings.
Preferred Education : Bachelor’s Degree.

Work Environment :
Office setting, within a hospital environment
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in a hospital setting which is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Office staff : 5 days a week, Monday Friday 8 hour shifts.
Will be required to work during emergencies and inclement weather and provide 24 / 7 on-call coverage.
