PET / CT Technologist
Location : Long Beach, California
Responsibilities : Included but not limited to
- Take patients medical history before an exam and prepare each patient for their scan
- Always follow proper sterilization procedures
- Skills needed : IV Starts, PACS, Contrast and Biopsies
- CT Procedures Skills : Abdomen, Pelvis, Head / Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal, Aspirations, Biopsies, Brain Perfusion, Drainage, CTA and Multiplanar Reconstruction
- Perform tube warm-ups and calibrations daily on the equipment
- Multiplanar Reconstructions : EPIC, GE, BLS and ARRT
- Help physicians interpret radiological images after exams have been completed
- Operate head or body Xray scanners which will create a computer-generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT scan
- Patient car that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures by providing precise and detailed instructions
Requirement and Experience :
- Contain an unrestricted, active, current, and full ARRT Certification
- At least one year of experience as a CT Technologist
- Contain an associate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine
