People Architects is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for an immediate first shift opening working onsite at our clients Chicopee corporate office.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of various technical systems and a strong mechanical aptitude. This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed packaging equipment while managing the maintenance of the building and overseeing new equipment installations.

Key Responsibilities :
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety protocols.
- Supervise and perform maintenance on machinery and building systems.
- Diagnose and repair issues involving electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as Bridgeport, Lathe, gas torches, and welding tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting charts.
- Manage and maintain high-speed packaging machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Fabricate parts as needed to support machinery repairs and enhancements.
- Maintain and order machine parts inventory, working closely with vendors to control costs.
- Plan and implement equipment installation, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards.
- Prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously, minimizing equipment downtime.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications (required and preferred) :
- WasteWater II Operator’s License (required or must be able to obtain once hired)
- Proficiency in electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with HVAC systems.
- Strong fabrication skills with the ability to operate machining tools such as Bridgeport, Lathe, and welders.
- Experience in troubleshooting PLCs and other automated systems.
- Mechanical aptitude to maintain and repair high-speed packaging equipment.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and prioritize tasks to minimize downtime.
- Strong attention to detail and safety-oriented mindset.
- Prior experience supervising maintenance activities in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Experience in inventory management and vendor coordination.
