Purchasing Payroll Assistant

We are pleased to announce the relocation of our corporate headquarters to in Houston’s Upper Kirby neighborhood.

This position will reconcile subcontractor / vendor invoices that do not match budgeted purchase orders and will maintain monthly statements of outstanding invoices with subcontractors / vendors.

This individual will work closely with Purchasing Agents, Project Managers, Accounts Payable personnel, Estimators, Subcontractors / Vendors, and other departments as needed.

This individual will also participate in department-wide projects and provide general support as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, reconcile, and approve subcontractor / vendor invoices. Coordinate these activities as appropriate with various departments.
  • Correspond with subcontractors / vendors and review monthly statements to ensure accurate account status.
  • Ensure vendors provide invoice information, account status, or documentation in a timely manner.
  • Periodically assist Accounts Payable for approving invoices.
  • Assist construction personnel in complying with Purchasing Department procedures.
  • Perform miscellaneous Purchasing Department activities such as analyzing, pricing, and researching various projects as well as miscellaneous backup functions (, bid input, phone backup, etc.).
  • From time to time must complete projects with short notice in extreme time constraints.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Requires at least 2 years of relevant administrative experience.
  • 10-key by touch (speed and accuracy).
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
