We are seeking a dedicated Triage Floor Nurse to join our medical team at Eastside Dermatology. The Triage Floor Nurse will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions over the phone or in-person to determine the urgency of care needed.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct initial patient assessments to determine the level of care required.
- Prioritize patient needs based on the severity of symptoms.
- Provide medical advice and instructions to patients over the phone or in person.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate patient care is provided.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Follow established protocols and standards of triage guidelines.
- Ensure pathology and lab logs are up to date and accurate.
- Monitor culture log.
- Monito triage emails
- Oversee packaging and sterilization of instruments.
- Work on the floor and assist providers, PAs, or NPs with patient care.
- Document patient charting in EMA.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and providers to ensure proper patient flow during clinical hours.
Qualifications :
- Strong understanding of medical standards and protocols.
- Dermatology experience preferred.
- Knowledge of EMR (EMA) is preferred.
- LPN or RN License - Required
