This opportunity entails being responsible for leading the completion of field survey assignments and projects. Operates and maintains survey equipment, instruments, and software to collect field data and perform routine surveys for various projects.
Provides accurate measurement through reading survey instruments and accurately recording field data.
What You'll Do :
Serves as crew chief, leading field survey staff on related project tasks including accurately collecting, documenting, and recording field data.
Supports the development of scope, schedule, and budgets in a project manager capacity.
Trains technicians in the use of survey equipment.
Maintains survey tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Operates survey equipment to conduct survey activities.
Reads, interprets, and comprehends construction and real estate documents.
Performs courthouse and field research needed for locating property and right-of-way lines.
Recruits, hires, develops and retains staff, including development of plan for staff reporting, performance and compensation reviews, and succession.
Coordinates schedules and approves timecards.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need :
Valid driver's license.
Willingness to travel.
What You'll Bring :
Knowledge of route, bridge, and boundary surveys. Knowledge of section breakdowns.
Knowledge of MicroStation
Knowledge of procedures to process drone and Lidar collection. Knowledge of INDOT codes and standards.
Willingness to work outside in all temperatures and a variety of terrain such as creeks, rivers, steep hills, and bridge embankments.
Ability to take notes, take photos, and sketch bridge details.
Knowledge of Trimble Dini, GPS, and Robotic Total Station.
Knowledge of section breakdowns.
Ability to lead, supervise, and train other field personnel.
What We Prefer :
10+ years of experience in surveying.
Drone license.
