PrideStaff is currently seeking Manuel Lathes Machinist a manufacturing company located in Pomona, CA. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with opportunity to grow.

- Salary : $19-20
- Shift : M-F 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm
Position Summary
Sets up and operates machine tools and fits and assembles parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools or machines.
Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and machines required by studying specifications, such as blueprints, sketch, damaged part or description of part.
Plans and executes assignments using tools ranging from lathes to milling machines. Uses precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work.
Machine shop training in mechanics shop mathematics, metal properties and layout and machining procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience setting up and operating a manual lathe machine.
- One year of machine shop experience preferred
- Completion of a technical trade school, or the equivalent of education and experience, or trade certification for general Machinist is preferred
- Ability to use measuring devices to verify that work meets blueprint specifications
- Ability to pass a Basic shop math test and tape Measure test.
- Must be available to work Saturday rotation
- Must be willing submit to a clinic drug test and physical prior to start
