Seeking Functional Safety manager responsible for guiding hardware and software teams engaged in the development of products for on-road and off-road transportation for North America and European customers through functional safety ISO 26262 certification.
Will be working with International hardware & software development group established in North America, China and India and working closely with external development partners.
Tasks
- Responsible for ensuring development of new products is performed in compliance with ISO26262 functional safety standards.
- Working collaboratively with customers early in the project life cycle to define safety needs, management of the safety development and analysis, and reporting status to internal and external customers throughout the product development life cycle to the point of production release.
- Promote safety culture and guide development teams towards successful implementation of ISO 26262.
- Design and implement testing methods.
- Influence software and hardware architecture for safety compliance
- Drive and support engineering activities according to ISO 26262 from concept through validation
- Support customer ISO 26262 HW / SW audits.
Requirement :
- 5 years experience in hardware and software functional safety compliance
- BS or MS in electrical engineering (or equivalent)
- Proactive, ambitious and results-oriented attitude
- Customer oriented
- Experience with ISO 26262 and understanding of ISO process standards, methodologies and documentations
- Experience with defining process for quality and safety conformance for mission critical applications
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work collaboratively with multiple cross-functional teams, prepare presentation materials and reports for internal and external customers and conduct safety analysis.
- Fluent English
- Very good communication and networking skills
- Advantage : experience in embedded SW ( C )
