Description
The Aeromed Program Manager is responsible for fostering and supporting a productive and efficient work environment by providing clinical and administrative support to staff providing direct and indirect care to patients as a part of Aeromed transport operations.
Responsible for 24-hour basis of the programmatic, operational, and financial management of the program, in conjunction with the Director of the program.
Interviews, hires, assigns work to and evaluates performance of employees supervised. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
- Assumes responsibility for both the clinical and operational quality and safety of the Aeromed program in conjunction with the Program Director.
- Responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient flight schedule is produced.
- Develops, implements and monitors program budget in conjunction with the Program Director.
- Collaborates with external partners, including the program aviation vendor, local and regional prehospital providers, and local and regional medical facilities.
- Staffs various units within the program to ensure coverage appropriate to program service needs.
- Builds and sustains relationships with key decision-makers, medical professionals, and community leaders; acts as a liaison to provide issue resolution as needed.
- Participates in local, regional, and state Stroke, Trauma, STEMI, and other quality related meetings to support the program.
- Utilizes data collection tools to analyze referral / transport data, collecting actionable information to develop strategic plans.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing,
- BSN required.
- RN license required
- Paramedic license required.
- ACLS, PALS, BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
- Specialty Certificate (Certified Flight Nurse, Certified Emergency Nurse or Certified Critical Care Nurse)
- Advanced Trauma Certification (ACT)
- Five (5) years of experience as an RN, inclusive of two (2) years of experience within Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS)
- Demonstrates strong analytical abilities by applying logical reasoning to make informed decisions and develop innovative solutions.
- Exhibits superior written and verbal communication skills and an ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner to diverse candidates.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Proactively takes initiative by demonstrating reliability and strong work ethic.
- Expert utilization of Microsoft Office and an ability to leverage advanced features and functions to optimize productivity and efficiency.
