Position Overview : We are looking for a motivated and skilled User Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a user support role, with a decent level of experience in database queries, web programming, and basic networking knowledge.
This role is primarily focused on providing exceptional support to our employees, with secondary responsibilities that include assisting with internal web development and database tasks.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues efficiently and professionally.
- Respond to and track support requests via our internal ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and excellent service.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.
- Assist with database queries and maintenance to support various internal projects and operational needs.
- Contribute to internal web development tasks using PHP, Laravel, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure, including basic configuration and troubleshooting.
- Document support processes, common issues, and resolutions to improve efficiency and knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical support role.
- Proficient in writing and executing database queries.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of web programming languages including PHP, Laravel, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of networking principles and ability to perform basic network troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and / or e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices for IT service management.
