Summary

The role of the Sales Support is to assist with the sales activities related to the organization, client, and customer needs.

This role will be responsible for assisting the client Sales Personnel as the primary and / or back-up contact creating and managing sales opportunities and customer service tools.

This position will involve many work activities including, but not limited to : lead management, account management which includes sales, informing customers of product launches, new distribution of existing products, gathering customer feedback, creating and maintaining reports upon request and scheduling sales appointments.

The goal of this position is to help the sales team close the sale and / or retain the customer. This role will be trained to handle inbound and outbound customer calls to serve as a back-up when needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibility

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Create and manage sales and customer service tools for client teams as requested (e.g. new product launches, new distribution of existing products, sales presentations, monthly updates, newsletters, lead management, sales appointment scheduling)
  • Keep current of industry trends and competitive products
  • Oversee compilation and reporting of Sales Business units and client team metrics including scorecards
  • Meet and exceed established sales and / or customer service criteria.
  • Demonstrate the ability to represent client's brand in a positive manner and provide outstanding customer experiences
  • Technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to learn, understand, and use complex technology and tools to reduce / eliminate error
  • Maintain a balance of customer satisfaction while retaining revenue for the client by ensuring accuracy and having attention to detail
  • Back up and support other team members.
  • Create and maintain account contact files in Salesforce.
  • Serve as company ambassador delivering quality product information and assistance
  • Establish and develop relationships with clients and co-workers
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and computer skills
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Assist with the preparation of periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales
  • Regular attendance, punctuality and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability are conditions of employment and essential function of this position.

Leadership Responsibilities

Although this position will not have responsibility for direct reports, the position requires active leadership in the way of supporting strategic initiatives as well as active personal development and application of the Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Travel as required. In order to meet the travel requirements, must have a personal credit card and an available credit limit for expenses which are reimbursed

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED, HSED) required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • One to two years of stable sales or related work experience is required. Industry experience or any other service related industry experience is highly desired.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn complex program and product knowledge, experience working on a PC, accessing and navigating multiple software applications in a Windows environment while talking to the customer on the phone via a headset at the same time is required.

Beginner to Intermediate knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite, primarily in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.

SalesForce or other related CRM experience is a plus. Keying data entry efficiently and accurately with proficiency in typing / keyboard is required.

Polished phone demeanor, tone and etiquette is required.

Kohler Power is a hybrid program. We do not do cold calling, we only follow up on warm leads. We work with customers and Kohler dealers to get the process started for the customer to get a home standby generator.

We use sales techniques to overcome objection. We go over general information.

Are you familiar with a standby generator?

Our hours are 7am to 7pm with rotating shifts. Closing 1 week an every 4 weeks,

We have training in office and usually after the 4-5 week mark of training, the option to WFH is there. We are not currently working weekends, but will have to do so if the client request it.

All of our training is done here in office as well. While in training the typical schedule is 8-430pm for the 2 weeks and then placed in rotation.
