About this position :
This position is responsible for facilitating the movement of products, equipment, and materials out of the country via air freight.
The role ensures compliance with relevant local, national, and international laws and procedures while adhering to organizational policies.
Additionally, it involves providing excellent customer service to exporting clients, including bookings, rate management, document preparation, accounting, and problem resolution.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and coordinate all necessary documentation for efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of air export activities.
- Coordinate cargo pick-up and transfer, while monitoring shipment status.
- Communicate with export-related authorities, customers, and suppliers to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
- Correspond with overseas agents and clients in a timely manner, including pre-alerts, rate requests, and shipment status updates.
- Track shipments and keep customers and agents informed of status.
- Create and maintain customer files.
- Audit files for accuracy and completion.
- Interact with coworkers professionally and courteously.
- Complete US Customs AES filings.
- Manage operational and customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

- Knowledge of customs laws, practices, and procedures.

Experience :
- Geographical knowledge preferred.
- Experience with Cargowise (C1) is a requirement.
- Prior experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.
- Knowledge of US Export Compliance is preferred.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience handling Air Export shipments or a combination of education and relevant experience is required.
