Are you passionate about aquatic education and committed to exceptional customer service? Wave Aquatics is hiring Deck Managers to oversee swim lessons and support our instructors at our Redmond Pool and Juanita Pool (Kirkland) locations.
This part-time role is perfect for those who excel in leadership and are dedicated to creating a positive and safe environment for our swim school participants.
What You’ll Do :
Instructor Support : Provide consistent feedback and guidance to swim instructors, helping them improve their teaching techniques and address any issues they encounter.
Correct inappropriate teaching methods or behaviors as needed.
Safety Oversight : Address safety concerns promptly, enforce pool rules and regulations, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Execute the emergency action plan effectively during emergencies, and ensure all personnel follow facility standards.
Customer Service : Offer excellent service to patrons by handling questions and concerns via email, voicemail, and in-person interactions.
Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction.
- Instructor Evaluations : Perform evaluations of swim instructors, submit relevant documentation, and ensure adherence to procedures and employment standards.
- Facility Maintenance : Handle facility maintenance duties, including cleaning, reporting faulty equipment, and addressing hazardous conditions.
- Programming Knowledge : Understand programming policies, pricing, and registration practices. Direct patrons to appropriate resources for more detailed programming information.
What We’re Looking For :
- Previous supervisory experience, ideally in an aquatic or educational setting.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on improving instructor performance and ensuring safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures in an aquatic environment.
- Ability to manage facility maintenance tasks and enforce pool regulations effectively.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekday afternoons / evenings and weekend mornings.
- Possession of a valid American Red Cross Lifeguard / First Aid / CPR / AED certificate
- Skill in the application of on-land and water rescue techniques, First Aid, CPR, AED, and lifeguard surveillance per American Red Cross Standards
