We are looking for two talented Level 2 IT Support Specialists. The mission of the Level 2 IT Support Specialist is to create happy and productive customers.
This is a customer-facing position and is as much about setting and managing expectations as it is about solving the technical issue.
You would be part of a close-knit team, touching all of our clients, maintaining all of their technology, and working to improve all of their businesses.
Here’s what you’ll be doing :
- Analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating customer IT issues.
- Performing network and systems maintenance to ensure proper operation of client infrastructure.
- Setting up and restoring data backups for local and cloud storage.
- Configuring security settings or access permissions for groups or individuals.
- Identifying and communicating patterns or issues in processes and delivery.
- Analyzing and reporting computer network security breaches or attempted breaches.
- Documenting technical support activities.
- Playing a key role in advancing shared company goals and improving existing processes.
Requirements :
What you’ll need for this job :
- 2 or more years working in IT for small business or equivalent experience.
- A primarily person-centric and secondarily technology-centric approach
- A+ and Network+ certifications or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Group policy, LAN and internet protocols, IT networking and computing equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving a diverse range of technical issues in customer-facing environments
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and risk management concepts
- A Microsoft Certification or ability to achieve one within one year of employment
- A passion for process improvement
- A valid drivers license and ability to travel locally as needed and serve on 24x7 on-call rotations
- A reliable home computer and internet connection for remote work
Preferred qualifications :
Bonus points if you also bring these traits to the table :
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Azure AD, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Microsoft SQL Server
- Software programming experience
- Familiarity with Mac OS X and related troubleshooting experience
- Microsoft Certification
