We are seeking a talented Senior Proposal Specialist to support business development pursuits and marketing initiatives that reflect our Firm’s reputation for inspired thinking.

You will join a national M+BD Team and work closely with our Principals and Senior Leadership across our industry sectors (Public Transportation Healthcare Workplace Senior Living Industrial Commercial Education, Recreation, Culture DND-DCC Energy).

Your primary role on our team will be to lead the creation and delivery of high-calibre proposals that continue to enhance our brand and assist Kasian in winning work.

Often working to tight deadlines, you will regularly facilitate proposal planning meetings, review RFP documentation, as well as write and project manage various forms of proposal content.

In addition, you would participate in the day-to-day marketing responsibilities and initiatives to foster continued growth in our industry.

While being in or near one of our 7 major city center locations is an asset, it is not a requirement to become a part of our team.

Here’s what you’ll be doing at Kasian :

• Responsible for reviewing and interpreting RFP and RFQ documents and determining requirements for successful proposal submission.
• Manage daily Bid Searches
• Coordinate proposal kick-off meetings to determine deliverables and deadlines as required. Liaise as required with the Proposal Champion regarding proposal deliverables.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to determine if there are sub-consultant requirements.
• Conduct research, collect information and attend meetings (as required) for each specific proposal.
• Develop persuasive proposals with tailored content and impeccable design.
• Write, proofread, edit, and format proposal content which may include adapting existing content, and boilerplates to ensure a cohesive proposal.
• Manage multiple concurrent initiatives and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Provide writing assistance, and strategic input, and take responsibility for the impact, clarity, and delivery of proposals you are assigned to.
• Ensure compliance and meet submission deadlines for final proposal documents.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on proposals and marketing materials.
• Assist in identifying relevant opportunities aligned with the firm’s portfolio.
• Create presentations to support the pursuit team during project interviews.
• Implement and facilitate the proposal marketing process in all pursuits.
• Work closely with our technical staff and Leadership to translate visions into compelling messages that convey Kasian’s strengths and differentiating approach.
• Coordinate support services (e.g. graphics, print shop services, other administrative support, etc.) throughout the proposal lifecycle.
• Assist in maintaining proposal resources including the database of supporting material such as boilerplate content, executive summaries, project descriptions and resumes.
• Work with Leadership to create powerful presentations and arm project teams with the information they need to perform their best at interviews and / or introductory client meetings.
• Track award opportunities and assist with award submission packages.
• Communicate and collaborate with the entire M+BD Team located across all offices.
• Contribute to Kasian’s internal and external communications networks.
• Lead / coordinate debrief meetings for formal reviews.
• Produce proposals in Adobe Creative Suite which includes Indesign and other applications.
• Assist with other proposal-related duties as assigned.

Here’s what you bring to Kasian :

• Minimum 5 years of proposal management experience (experience in architecture and / or interior design is advantageous).
• Strong written communication and design fundamentals. This will include a high level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite as well as Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Being a natural self-starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, meet tight deadlines and work with colleagues from various departments, market sectors, and locations.
• A Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or Design is an asset but not a requirement.
• Prior experience in the architectural and / or interior design, engineering, or construction (AEC) field is preferred, professional services experience is an asset.
