Design Engineer
Job Summary :
In this dynamic role you willcollaborate with a crossfunctional team to contribute to developingnew products enhancing existing offerings and addressing marketneeds while ensuring adherence to quality and cost objectives.
Strong communication skills are crucial as you will engageregularly with internal teams customers and suppliers. Thisposition involves a comprehensive range of responsibilitiesincluding handson activities office work and proficiency in MRP / ERPsoftware SolidWorks and specification development.
The DesignEngineer will play a pivotal role in incorporating new designs intoSolidWorks and the MRP / ERP system.
Essential Duties andResponsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing department toimplement and execute continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with Engineering Sales Purchasing andQuality Control departments to address ongoing production andquality control issues.
- Support the Directorof Product Development and Engineering Team in the development ofnew products and enhancement of existing offerings.
- Apply innovative thinking to develop smart fluidconveyance solutions effectively addressing customerchallenges.
- Provide valuable feedback andassistance to the Sales and Marketing team through product testingdevelopment and qualification of both new and existing productlines.
- Manage the ERP system by creating newpart number setups routings work ticket templates and otherrelevant details.
- Utilize SolidWorks togenerate drawings for new designs and coordinate with suppliers toconvert drawings into a the company design format.
- Collaborate with the Supply Management team to assess andonboard new suppliers parts manage availability lead time andintegrate them into current production processes.
- Engage with production and extrusion personnel tobrainstorm new concepts and streamline current productdesigns.
Qualifications :
- Strong understanding of hydraulics hoseassembly thermoplastic hose extrusion and assemblyprocesses.
- Experience in Plastic InjectionMolding is a plus.
- Bachelors degree inengineering preferred
- 5 years of experience indesign engineering
- Experience withSolidWorks
