SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
A Tax Accountant prepares various types of federal and state tax returns for clients in a variety of industries and researches key issues as needed.
A Tax Associate assists with other tax planning and consulting projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Identify and understand the firm's policies and procedures.
- Acquire the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.
- Prepare 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040 Income Tax Returns.
- Prepare 990 Non-Profit Tax Returns and Texas Franchise Reports.
- Possess a working knowledge of firm technology, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and similar software.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the supervisor, managers or partners.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 1-4 years of experience preparing the tax returns mentioned above
- CPA eligible
- Open to fully remote for the right candidate
- Experience with current computer accounting programs
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude
REQUIRED EDUCATION
College undergraduate degree and have completed at least 30 hours in college-level accounting courses.
This position can be in-office or hybrid.
