The Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will report to the Corporate Medical Director and perform the following duties : Performs required medical exams for all Materion domestic locations.
Ensure all OSHA related medical screening information is consolidated for review by the Corporate Medical Director. Perform medical evaluation of all occupational injuries occurring at Elmore.
Review of complex injury / illness cases and coordinate review with site incident manage teams. Provide medical oversight of work conditioning, transitional work, oversight of ADA accommodations, Fitness for Duty and coordinate yearly permanent restrictions review with all domestic location, Corporate Medical Director, plant leadership, plant safety leadership, Occupational Health Medical Assistant, and Occupational Health and Benefits Manager.
Position must have strong clinical skills with ability to manage emergent / urgent situations.
Elmore Responsibilities :
Treat Elmore injuries Perform required medical exams for pre-placement, return to work and Fitness for Duty
Coordinate the occupational health aspects of the Emergency Response team
Ensure all OSHA related medical screening information is consolidated for review by the Corporate Medical Director.
Review of complex injury / illness cases and coordinate review with site incident manage teams. Provide medical oversight of work conditioning, transitional work, oversight of ADA accommodations, Fitness for Duty and coordinate yearly permanent restrictions review with all domestic location
This person must also provide first aid management of non-occupational emergent / urgent cases presenting at Elmore (e.g.
chest pain, stroke, loss of consciousness, seizure, influenza, asthma, hypoglycemia etc.).
Materion-wide Responsibilities :
Review results of preplacement medical exams, return to work clearance and Fitness For Duty.
Coordinate the occupational health aspects of the Emergency Response team.
Ensure all OSHA related medical screening information is consolidated for review by the Corporate Medical Director.
Review of complex injury / illness cases and coordinate review with site incident manage teams.
Provide medical oversight of work conditioning, transitional work, oversight of ADA accommodations, Fitness for Duty and coordinate yearly permanent restrictions review with all domestic locations.
REQUIREMENTS :
Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio as physician assistant or nurse practitioner
3 years of experience as a physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner preferred
Injury treatment experience required
Occupational health experience preferred
Fitness for Duty assessment experience preferred
Return to work examination experience preferred
Preplacement exam experience preferred
HIPPA proficiency
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.
S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.
S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.
S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.
S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
