PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Senior Electrical Field Engineer at Worley, you will play a pivotal role in the construction phases of energy, chemicals, and resource projects.
Leveraging your expertise, you will ensure that on-site construction activities align with engineering designs and specifications while adapting solutions to meet real-world conditions.
Your contribution will support Worley’s mission of delivering sustainable change, helping to bridge the transition to sustainable energy sources while ensuring the continuous delivery of essential resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expert engineering support during the construction phase, interpreting electrical design specifications and adjusting them to site conditions to ensure project success.
- Oversee and manage on-site electrical engineering operations, offering technical leadership to construction teams and ensuring alignment with sustainability objectives.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, construction site management, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and drive timely project completion.
- Ensure that all electrical construction work meets design standards and specifications, providing final approval for completed tasks.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with design, project management, and operations teams to ensure integration of sustainable solutions into project outcomes.
- Deliver informed guidance and technical expertise, making independent decisions for complex projects that affect financial, social, and environmental outcomes in line with Worley’s sustainability goals.
- Lead and mentor teams on small projects, providing technical direction and supporting the development of team members.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and technical documents, effectively communicating project progress and outcomes to stakeholders and management.
LI-JS4
- A university degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent trade qualification with relevant training and experience.
- Extensive experience in field engineering and commissioning, typically with seven or more years in the industry for degree holders or twelve or more years for trade-qualified professionals.
- Mastery of electrical field engineering practices with the ability to provide expert consultation on complex, large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent, high-impact decisions that consider financial, environmental, and organizational factors.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to assign project tasks, provide technical guidance, and evaluate the performance of team members.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering persuasive presentations and comprehensive technical reports.
- In-depth knowledge of engineering systems, processes, and tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and guide others in their use.
- A commitment to sustainability and the ability to integrate sustainable solutions into project designs and operations, supporting Worley’s ambition to lead in sustainable transformation.
