Staff Accountant - EXPANSION POSITION!
Our client, a well established growing industry leader, has a need for an accounting professional who is approaching the senior accountant level.
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff / Senior Accountant will be responsible for duties related to General Accounting functions of the Finance and Accounting department.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the transition to NetSuite from Great Plains.
- Cross-train with other team members for coverage of duties.
- Document processes and prepare desk procedures for duties including new NetSuite processes.
- Timely perform Month-End Close duties in accordance with Closing Schedule.
- Prepare and post Journal Entries.
- Prepare and analyze Account Reconciliations.
- Excel data analysis (at Intermediate level), V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Code and analyze large data sets downloaded from ERP system.
- Work with other departments to ensure proper accounting for purchases and expenses.
- Maintain financial documentation for and assist with Annual Financial Audit.
Qualifications
- Requires a BS degree in Accounting.
- 4 years experience in Accounting preferred including Month End Closing.
- NetSuite ERP system experience a plus.
- Must be highly skilled in Excel (Intermediate level), V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.
- Ability to use analytical thinking and reasoning to solve problems and assist with streamlining processes.
- Excellent work habits and dedication to the job including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially during Month End and Year End Close.
